RELATED UPDATE: BIG CAT SPOTTED, FARMINGTON HILLS COUPLE OFFERS REWARDLess than a week after appearing on a nationally syndicated talk show, a Farmington Hills couple is grieving the loss of their famous, world record-holding cats. Will and Lauren Powers believe that Cygnus, Arcturus, and Sirius, perished in a Sunday morning fire that also destroyed the couple’s home.Cygnus qualified for the 2018 Guinness Book of World Records for his tail length, 17.58 inches, and Arcturus, at 19.05 inches, is the world’s tallest domestic cat. They appeared November 8 on ABC-TV’s “Pickler & Ben”.The couple lost everything in the fire, which broke out between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. on November 12. Both were hospitalized for smoke inhalation. In public Facebook messages, Will Powers said he tried to rescue their beloved pets, but was overcome by smoke, so he opened doors hoping the cats would escape.Farmington Hills Fire Department sent a nixle.com message asking residents to be on the lookout for the cats, but Will wrote Monday that all three perished.“We have had an outpouring of support. But we can’t have our cats back. Those cats had a future of TV appearances and fundraisers to support the Ferndale Cat Shelter,” he wrote. “If the death of Cygnus, Arcturus, and Sirius isn’t meaningless and can help another family love their cats like we loved ours then this tragedy can have something good come from it.”A link to donate is posted on Will Powers’ Facebook page: Reported by admin Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)
Related Topics Week three of SWC play concluded last night. Here are the NEO Sports Insiders SWC Power Rankings.1) Avon (3-0) – The Avon Eagles are having an impressive season and look to be the favorites to win the SWC for the second consecutive season. The Eagles have impressive wins this season but none more impressive than beating Merritt Island in Florida week one. Avon have outscored their opponents this season 82-29. Last night the Eagles beat Avon Lake 31-6.2) Midview (3-0) – Midview have adjusted very nicely to life after Dustin Crumm. The Middies dominated North Olmsted last night 42-6. Connor Wolfe ran for 115 yards on just 13 carries while Sean Higley threw for five touchdowns. If any team can knock off Avon, Midview has the best chance of all these teams.3) Olmsted Falls (2-1) – Olmsted Falls nonconference win over Brecksville 28-18 is extremely impressive. Olmsted Falls lost to Avon in what was anticipated to be a close game, this was not the case as Olmsted Falls got blown out at home 31-7 last week.4) Berea-Midpark (2-1) – Berea-Midpark’s offense has been absolutely explosive this season. The Titans have scored 169 points in 3 games led by Junior Quarterback Trevor Bycznski and Runningback Bryce Agnew. The defense has struggled this season giving up over 30 points in two of the three games they’ve played this season. The Titans’ offense can dominate any defense in the SWC.5) North Olmsted (2-1) – Fresh off a beating from Midview the Eagles’ schedule doesn’t get any easier as they have Avon next week. North Olmsted got a big win over Avon Lake week two. North Olmsted’s defense has allowed less than 20 points in two of their three games. The Eagles should finish middle of the pack in the very competitive SWC.6) Amherst (3-0) – Amherst’s record looks good on the surface. If you dig a little deeper though you will notice that the two SWC teams the Comets have played are North Ridgeville and Lakewood who are both 0-3. Amherst has a very big test this week against Midview. If they can win this game against Midview they will move way up in these power rankings.7) Avon Lake (1-2) – The Shoremen were one play from being 2-1. In week two the Shoremen lost in overtime to North Olmsted and turned the ball over three times inside North Olmsted’s 20 yard line. Avon Lake lost to Avon yesterday in a rivalry game 31-6 in a game that Avon dominated. It looks like it is going to be a down year for Avon Lake.8) North Ridgeville (0-3) – The Rangers have been the most competitive of the three 0-3 teams in the SWC. In week one North Ridgeville lost a heartbreaker to North Royalton 24-21. The Rangers proceeded to get blown out their next two games only scoring 7 points over those two games.9) Lakewood (0-3) – Lakewood have allowed less than 40 points in two of their three games. Obviously, that is not a great accomplishment but it is much better than Westlake’s defense. Lakewood went 0-10 last season and it does not seem like they will be much better this season.10) Westlake (0-3) – Westlake’s defense has been unbelievably horrible. The least points their defense has allowed in a game this season is 47. They have given up 161 points in only three games. That comes out to 53.7 points allowed per game. Just one year after making the playoffs, it looks like it will be a rough year for the Demons. Patrick Kennedy
Zac Smith had put City in front early on in the first half, before Millwall goalkeeper Sam Jackson was sent off for a challenge on Vince Harper.Mason Saunders-Henry levelled from the penalty spot for the away side, and Lucas Sinclair scored the game’s winning goal just after the hour mark. That makes six games without a win for Trevor Challis’ side, and they will hope return to winning ways next week as they host Ipswich Town.It was the away side who had the first chance of the game. George Alexander was put through in goal, but his effort was saved brilliantly by James Carey, who tipped the shot onto the crossbar. After Alexander’s early effort, the opening stages of the tie were quite cagey with neither side asserting dominance of the game.City took the lead just before the quarter hour mark. Zac Smith found space in the Millwall box, and calmly slotted the ball beyond the goalkeeper to make it 1-0.The goal seemed to give City a lift, as Marcus Day was the next player to target the opposition goal. His shot was tame, however, and easy enough for the goalkeeper.Alexander threaten Carey’s goal again, coming close with a header from a free kick which went just over.LIONS SEES REDMillwall were then reduced to ten men shortly after the half hour mark. A long ball forward found Harper around 30 yards from goal, and the onrushing goalkeeper Jackson brought him down. The referee sent Jackson off, resulting in striker Alexander being taken off for substitute goalkeeper Joe Wright.Day did threaten the away side’s goal on a few occasions as the first half drew to a close, but he was unable to double City’s advantage before the break. The second half saw the away side on the front foot, despite being a man down.Less than five minutes after the restart, Millwall had the opportunity to level from the penalty spot a challenge in the area by a City defender. Saunders-Henry stepped up to take the penalty, and dispatched it beyond the reach of Carey.Day came close to putting City back in the lead almost immediately, but his effort was saved well by Wright.Millwall then completed the turn around after an hour. Sinclair cut inside the City defence and fired past Carey who could do nothing about the strike.A free kick from Day troubled Wright, who spilled his effort into the path of a City player. After a scramble, the ball couldn’t find its way past the line as Millwall managed to clear their lines. As the game went on, City attempted to find an equaliser but couldn’t find a way beyond the defence. The final ball seemed to be lacking for the youngsters. There was almost late drama in the dying embers of the game, as goalkpeer Carey went up for a last minute corner. Nothing came of it, however, as Millwall managed to hang on for the victory.City Under-18s: Carey, Ali, Webb, Harry Smith (Towler), Burford, Turner, K.Smith (Taylor), Z.Smith, Bell, Day (Mortimore), Harper. Subs not used: Begovic, Hall, Maguire.
Mildly amusing at first, Tiemoué Bakayoko’s struggles in Milan while on loan from Chelsea are starting to become rather painful to cover. Much like a really old and sick pet, there’s a feeling it might be best to put him out of his misery rather than keep this going any longer, and Wednesday’s performance against Genoa was no different.Once again, the Chelsea loanee was Milan’s ‘The Worst’ player on the pitch for Gazzetta dello Sport, who, much to their credit, try their best to find some positive in his performance, stating he ‘didn’t have a game to forget and lent a hand in midfield’.However, it was his mistake that led to Genoa’s goal in the 2-1 win, as the defensive midfielder tried an incomprehensible back pass to one of his teammates at the back, which Christian Kouamé anticipated, and, with a lot of luck thanks to a huge looping deflection, managed to put in the back of the net.Embed from Getty ImagesCorriere dello Sport, down their end, aren’t as nice as their pink papered counterparts, stating the Chelsea midfielder is ‘still committing too many errors’, while giving him the lowest grade out of everyone on his team (5/10).Gazzetta also highlight his ‘technical imprecisions’, which all but encapsulate his time in Italy so far.by Taboolaby TaboolaSponsored LinksSponsored LinksPromoted LinksPromoted LinksTrending TodayRaid: Shadow Legends | Free DownloadEven Non-Gamers Are Obsessed With This RPG Game (It’s Worth Installing!)Raid: Shadow Legends | Free DownloadUndoKeto减肥1個簡單的妙招一夜「融化」腹部贅肉（今晚試試）Keto减肥UndoCNBC InternationalHere’s How Big Businesses in Singapore Are Managing the Impact of COVID-19.CNBC InternationalUndoStanChart by CNBC CatalystWill Blockchain Reduce the Global Trade Finance Gap to Reach the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals?StanChart by CNBC CatalystUndoPerfect-Dating.comReveal Tung Chung As The Best City to Date for Love & RomancePerfect-Dating.comUndoDating.comWhere do attractive singles find each other in Tung Chung?Dating.comUndoTheTopFiveVPNEnjoy Netflix Now Without Any RestrictionsTheTopFiveVPNUndo熱門話題小心會長過頭…網友推爆:「真的長得超誇張!」熱門話題UndoInstant Voice Translator43 Languages Instant Voice Translator Flying Off Shelves in Hong KongInstant Voice TranslatorUndo
We’ve reached that time of the year when Portuguese newspapers won’t miss a chance to mention Manchester United. As newspaper Record this weekend covers claims from Tuttosport saying Juventus will have scouts watching Benfica, the Portuguese outlet once again insists the Premier League club are firmly in the race as well.Record recalls their story from earlier this week which claimed that Juve and Man United are both preparing to pay for release clauses of João Félix and Ruben Dias.Signing the duo would mean a spend of €180m for these clubs, since the attacker is protected by a €120m release clause, and the defender has a €60m tag price.Embed from Getty ImagesIt’s interesting that Record keep saying that Benfica won’t sell that duo for less than that, and these claims have been backed up by the club president this week.Interviewed by the Eagles’ official website, Luís Felipe Vieira was asked if the ‘jewels’ from the academy would only leave for the amount of the release clauses.“I reaffirm that we have no objective to sell our main players who have now arrived from Seixal. With each passing day, these young talents are more valued,” said the president.by Taboolaby TaboolaSponsored LinksSponsored LinksPromoted LinksPromoted LinksTrending TodayForge of Empires – Free Online GameChallenge Your Brain With This Must-Play Strategy Game.
